Saying that her path crossed with patent while she does master’s degree in Oxford University, Prof. Dr. Boztosun says “When we look at the condition of universities and Technology Transfer Offices (TTO) in Turkey today, we see a rise in the number of patent applications. However it is a fact that commercialization rate of patents is low. Patents are not to hang on the wall and be proud of it. If it does not contribute to science world, it is not a true approach to apply for a patent just for encouragement. We should be more conscious. Our ultimate goal in patent is commercialization.”
Stating the importance of patent number, Boztosun emphasized that progression is in our hands and we should make conscious decisions.
