THE 8TH INTERNATIONAL VISUAL FORUM “HUMANE APPROACHES IN GEO-CULTURAL AREA” HELD

Giving the Forum’s opening speech, IU Vice-Rector Prof. Recep Güloğlu said that they were happy to host the Visual Forum which is the last stage of the Project called “Composing Distance Learning and Science Area for Intellectual Societies” with the international collaborations of US, Armenia, Italy, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Czech Republic, South Korea and Japan as Istanbul University, Turkey’s one of the biggest and the most essential universities.

He added that the Forum studies enhanced the collaborations in the scientific and educational area among representatives from different cultures, thus, aimed to think about the current problems and run mutual projects. Prof. Güloğlu ended his speech with thanks to the colleagues holding the forum.

After Prof. Güloğlu, Faculty of Letters Dean Prof. Hayati Develi made a speech about the forum. Prof. Develi said he was delighted to see that this meeting in which precious scientists from many different countries present their remarks, discuss and make useful determinations about their approaches in educational field, innovative areas in implementation, intercultural and migration problems during the process of the integration, bilingual education, smart Technologies, linguistics match up with our faculty whose mission is to search, to develop the humanity’s World of language, thinking and culture based upon interdisciplinary collaboration nd share the acquired results with the society.

Following the opening speeches, “Uniting in Turkish Music Concert” was performed under the baton of IU State Conservatory Department of Musicology Head Doc. Pınar Somakcı.

The first day of the Forum ended with the simultaneous sessions, finished in October 5 with culture programme.
