Photographer Muhammet Mehdi Ozturk, gave a presentation about “How a city contributes to a traveler and vice versa”. “We see that people of our day make a lot of planning while travelling. One of the main focus points of a real journey is how the plans become irrelevant. Because the dreams that we make while we are starting a journey and the truths that we come across when we are traveling are much different than each other. I saw a part of me at every corner that I have visited and I should underline that photography is the best communication device.” Said Öztürk.
Photographer Sevde Sevan Usak, gave a presentation called “Human From Different Geographies of World”. “The most important way to communicate with people is knowing the human language. You can not just show up from nowhere and take a photo in an instant, because most people would be uncomfortable. Which is why meeting and communicating with people before we take the pictures of them is the most legit way of this job as a whole” Usak stated.
Photographer Muhammet Erkam Bülbül who lectured about the connection between travelling and photography said that “We travel and we would certainly want to take beautiful pictures. But before travelling it is crucial to pick the right people to go with the journey. After communicating in a sincere way with the people, photography should not be your only goal. Travelling is a job all about intentions. If there is an intention and hard work, it is just fate afterall.”
