Istanbul University Faculty of Science’s Amateur Astronomers Club and Astronomy and Space Sciences Department operate the observation of solar eclipse. Head of Astronomy and Space Sciences Department, Prof. Dr. M. Türker ÖZKAN states that this year four important celestial cases which are two solar eclipses one of which is total and another is partial, and two total eclipses of the moon are going to occur. Besides, he expresses the fact that these four celestial cases will occur once again by 2060. Additionally he says that the solar eclipse can be observed clearly in northern parts yet the eclipse can be visible at 43 percent in Turkey.
