Meeting started with string quartet’s music recital by Trakya Unıversıty faculty members; Doç. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Zafer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Öner Dinç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Musa Eren İşkodralı and researcher Gülce Sevi Özsoy.
Organized as two session, meeting’s opening speeches made by Trakya Unıversity Rector Prof. Dr. Yener Yörük, IU Rector Prof. Dr. Yunus Söylet, Bulgaria Academy of Science President Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov, Ss. Cyril and Methodius Unıversıty Rector Velimir Stojkovski, Makedonia Academy of Science Prof. Dr. Bojan Soptrajanov, Türkiye Academy of Sciences Executive Council member Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gül.
In his speech, IU Rector Prof. Dr. Yunus Söylet stated that meeting brought important institutions at Balkans and Turkey together and prepared a groundwork to search and find new researches and projects in different fields.
In the first session of the meeting institutions representatives introduced their institutions. Attendinding to the meeting for TUBITAK Horizon 2020 Maria Sklodowska Curie Programme National Communication Point, Numan Gölükçü informed academicians and scientist about potential meetings before the second session thematic meetings.
In the second session of the meeting, academicians and scientists are gathered to discuss about joint projects in six different thematic groups from “Environment and Material”, “Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology”, “Social Sciences and Language”, “Information Sciences”, “Medicine”, “Economy”, and “Food Safety”.
After the sessions, presentation of data acquired in the thematic meetings was made by thematic group representatives.
Trakya University, İstanbul University, Turkey Academy of Sciences, Bulgaria Academy of Sciences, Skopj Ss. Cyril and Methodius University from Macedonia and Makedonia Sciences and Art Academy representatives and academicians took participation in the meeting.
