Hair Diseases Unit President Prof. Dr. Server Serdaroğlu in his speech at the ceremony stated that they have done studies about hair diseases and hair loss for 15 years at İÜ Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Department of Dermatological and Venereal Diseases. Telling that they closed the unit 3 years ago because of the law known as “full time” in public, Prof. Dr. Serdaroğlu said “Now everything is back on track. So we wanted to make another organization. Because we had 15 year-effort. In 15 years so many patients benefited from these facilities for free. Heavily we were interested in hair diseases and hair loss. With this new organization, we are interested in cosmetic side of the hair diseases. We included this into this unit.”
Saying that pharmacist and coiffeurs have important tasks while directing patients correctly, Prof. Dr. Serdaroğlu thanked Ducray and Pierre Fabre Dermo-cosmetic Turkey General Manager Orhan Koçer for their supports. Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Sema Umut wished unit to be well for patients and university.
