In the workshop that took place at IU Faculty of Communication’s Pocket Cinema the students were trained about breathing techniques, body language and diction alongside various exercises.
The first one of the workshop’s three sessions had the subject of breathing techniques. Serda Ceyhan informed the students about breathing properly and moved on to some exercises. Ceyhan said that eye contact was very important in effective communication and that our manners and style had positive or negative impacts on the other person.
In the second session Ceyhan trained the students in the subject of diction. Ceyhan gave information about the proper use of the Turkish language and realized a read-out. Ceyhan continued the second session with voice usage. Suggesting that a person must use their voice correctly and it had important effects regarding professional platforms and the everyday life, Ceyhan said that it was important for the voice to be trained next to being pleasant.
At the last session, Tufan Yakar focused on how important the tone of the voice was and emphasized on the importance of audibility and intelligibility. Yakar added that in order to have a good position in the radio-communication sector versatility was a necessity. He finished the program by thanking the students for their participation.
